Registration for the 2009 AASFE Conference in Portland is now open. To provide the training that you need, AASFE is partnering
with UC-Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, the Poynter Institute,
and the Media Management
Center at Northwestern University.
Folks from UC-Berkeley’s Graduate School of
Journalism will conduct multimedia training on Friday, Sept. 25. There will be
two lengthy, hands-on online training sessions. In the morning workshop, you
will produce two multimedia projects, start to finish: an audio slideshow using
SoundSlides and an audio podcast. In the afternoon session, you’ll
learn Adobe Flash and how to use it to construct a basic, reusable Flash
template for displaying rich multimedia content.
IMPORTANT: Both of these classes are limited to the
first 20 people who sign up for them. When you register, you will need to note
that you’re registering for these classes. We are charging a nominal fee
of $25 per person, per class.
