Dallas Morning News is looking for a Home Writer
The Dallas Morning News is hiring a staff writer for the Home section. The
writer would cover home design with an emphasis on the local scene. Stories
range from product briefs to 40-inch profiles of local people and how they
live. The job includes pulling products from local retailers to represent a
variety of styles and sources. The writer also spends time working with
photographers to style photos both in the studio and on location.
We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of design, but with the versatility to cover everything from recycling to home technology. The writer also helps the editor coordinate with the art and photo departments. Candidates must have at least three to five years reporting experience covering the topic.
