The Las Vegas Reveiw-Journal Needs a Fashion Photographer
You love fashion and want to be in the midst of celebrity events. You’re not afraid to ask questions and know who Proenza Schouler and Badgley Mischka are. And you want to work with all of them. You know how to get a model to show off the clothes but can show the up-close details in a beauty shoot. You love to collaborate while showing an independent nature when it comes to concepts for photo shoots. You admire the works of Peter Lindbergh, Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber, Mario Testino and David LaChapelle and know that you have the talent to be listed among them if you could just expand your portfolio. And you understand the images tell the story just as much as the words. You may want to keep reading. We’re looking for a versatile fashion photographer to work full time on our weekly fashion section. This creative person will work closely with the fashion editor to conceive and shoot photo spreads and cover everything from red carpet events and fashion shows to portraits of designers and local boutiques and styled fashion shoots. For images that we cannot shoot ourselves, this team-spirited photographer will research, collect and obtain images through wire services and public relations firms. We prefer someone who has editorial experience and who is capable of writing clear and concise captions for photographs. This person will be responsible for image post-production and will also be trained to shoot in the product photo studio and have a superb understanding of lighting. Best of all, there are no limits to where this job can take you. We want to make you the next Patrick Demarchelier.
Qualifications: Please send a cover letter that will impress us, resume and 10 of your most outstanding images or links to them to the e-mail address listed below. Include salary requirements to be considered. This position is full time and includes great benefits including health insurance, vacation time, 401(k), a photo studio to call your own, equipment and an opportunity of a lifetime.
